Le attività dell’International Review of Sociology per il 2018 hanno rafforzato il ruolo della Rivista soprattutto rispetto a due dei suoi principali obiettivi: il primo relativo all’incremento dei download online degli articoli pubblicati che superano l’ordine del migliaio in un arco di tempo di 90 giorni e con una diffusione degli users del sito della Rivista pressoché globale; il secondo relativo alla potenzialità assicurata dalla Rivista per autori italiani di presentare le loro ricerche attraverso le Themed section ad una arena di lettori internazionale che i dati menzionati nel primo punto assicurano di successo.
